Jejustonepark 제주돌문화공원

I took a taxi and asked the driver where I can spend  4 hours of my time near the hotel. He suggested Jejustonpark. Hm,, Stone. I wondered.. I knew that Jejudo is known for its unique stone named harebang. I decided to follow his recommendation. 

The volcanic island shows beautiful scenery with a lot of basalts.(현무암) 

This picture is a path of legend.

Day 2

I went to Seopjikoji [섭지코지] which I saw in the Korean drama ‘All in’. It was very foggy, but fortunately, it wasn’t raining. Seopjikoji doesn’t sound Korean, so I wondered what it meant. Now I know it’s a narrow road.

I could hear the sound of waves and smell the sea, but the thick fog kept me from enjoying the view.

You can see the cathedral that was shown in All in. 

After the drama finished it was named as All-in-house and became a tourist attraction.

A path going to the lighthouse is on the top of Seopjikoji. 

I wanted to see ‘Glass House and Genious Loci’ built by Tadao Ando, a world recognized designer.

I could feel the harmony of light and concrete.

I think it's better to bring packed lunch on a trip like this. I drove for almost 1 hour to Seogwipo which is popular for its many tourist attractions.

I parked at the parking lot and walked to Seyeongyo(새연교) to get to Sesum(새섬). Female divers(Haenyeo) were selling fresh sea food like sea cucumber and sea squirt. This is Sesum in its element.

함덕서우봉해변 Hamdeok seowoobong beach

Hamdeok seowoobong beach is near Daemyeong resort.

It's a short walk from the resort I'm staying in so I took a walk on the shore.

Going back, I saw a couple enjoying their time.

I took my rental car and drove to the bridge that is located in the farthermost part of the shore. It was so beautiful. I was by myself and didn’t have any plans, so I decided to spend time here in Hamdeok Seowoobong beach.

And then I took the 1132 highway which stretches out along the sea. This familiar landscape in Jejudo gives temporary respite to people used to the hustle and bustle of city life. I recommend a road trip to this beach road  in east north in Aewol-ri in Jeju.

Next day. (Day 2)

I went to Seopjikoji [섭지코지] where I had watched which I saw in the Korean drama ‘All In’. It was very foggy, but fortunately, it wasn’t raining.
